Our story

Bessie Carter Co, formerly known as Sweet Love, was established in 2020, but the vision was created in 2014. Due to personal health issues the owner wanted to create delicious baked goods that did not compromise her health. Gluten-free, vegan and refined sugar free baked goods were not easily available, and if they were, did not please the pallet.

It’s important to make everyone feel included. And it’s important to put an emphasis on healthier options. Satisfying a sweet tooth shouldn’t be a guilty pleasure, it should be full of pleasure.

Our ingredients

We use quality ingredients in our baked goods. Items such as soy, canola oil, peanuts and pork by products are not used in any item. We like to showcase seasonal fruits and vegetables and use them in our baked items.
